Tours Assistant, Tourcan Vacations

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assist the tours department with general administrative tasks.

Assist with the preparation and finalization of itineraries. (Africa, South/Central America/Middle East)

Check documentation such as, itineraries, airline tickets, etc.

Ensure that dates for air and land arrangements match up.

Liaise with the Air Department when necessary.

Checking and entering data and details in the reservation system.

Assist with invoicing and, where applicable, liaise with the accounts department.

Dispatch of travel documents.

Assist GM with administration of brochures, flyers, etc.

Requirements

WORK EXPERIENCE:

6 months to one year in the Travel Industry

EDUCATION:

Travel and Tourism Diploma

TICO certified

Knowledge

SKILLS:

Excellent communication, written and organizational skills.

Experience with a Tour Operator a plus.

Knowledge of Africa, South/Central America/Middle East a plus.

Proficient in Microsoft Office, Outlook and Excel.
